Butter

Ingredients Recipe
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 pinch salt (optional)
Steps
  1. Using an electric mixer attach the whisk to the mixer and pour 1 pint heavy whipping cream into the mixing bowl
  2. Start on low and turn up to medium speed until you have stiff peaks approximately 5 minutes
  3. Change the whisk attachment to the paddle attachment and continue whisking at a medium speed
  4. When the whipping cream starts to separate and become small balls wet paper towels and drape over mixer to prevent a mess!
  5. Approximately 2 minutes later after butter solids form on the whisk and bottom of the bowl, and buttermilk sprays out of the bowl, stop the mixer
  6. Remove all the butter solids and place into fresh bowl
  7. Pour ice cold water over top of the butter solids bring together with your hands until the water is no longer cloudy and runs clear (approximately 3 minutes). Use ice cube to cool down your hands before working with the butter.
  8. (Optionally) add salt by sprinking on butter and working it in until evenly distributed
  9. Place in a airtight container in refrigerator
